Royal Family Kids
Royal Family KIDS is an international nonprofit organization started in 1985 to provide a week of overnight Camp during the summer as well as a monthly Club and Mentoring program during the school year for local children who have experienced abuse, abandonment, or neglect. With the attention of one camp counselor for every two children, the campers enjoy a wonderful week of fun and worship. There is swimming, fishing, games, a Tea Party, crafts, music, and wood working. Since many never had a birthday party, one day is designated as “Everyone’s Birthday!” with a party, presents and a birthday cake for each child. All children leave Camp with a picture album of themselves enjoying their Camp activities with other children and staff. They also receive their own Bible and an MP3 player loaded with Camp songs. Our Club and Mentoring Program, begun in 2014, allows us to build a year-round relationship with our campers and take the sadness out of the last day of Camp. We meet with the children for several hours once a month during the school year for structured activities and mentoring in a safe and friendly atmosphere.

How you can help:
- The camp needs a staff of sixty qualified volunteers plus we need qualified volunteers for the club and mentoring program. All will go through a training program. To find out more about serving in one of these ministries, please contact the church office at [email protected] and you will be put in touch with the appropriate person.
- The cost to offer these opportunities is $54,000 a year. You can help by sponsoring a child for a week at $600 or a day at $125. There will also be opportunities to help out with fundraising projects. A tax-deductible donation of any amount will be gratefully received. Checks may be made out to RFK #271.
